Contact Details (DSS)
Overview
Through this service, you can update your contact details as held by the Department of Social Security. This includes your postal address, email address, landline number, mobile phone number and SMS payment notification as required.
A postal address in Malta and Gozo consists of the house number or block number, any additions to the house number and apartment number, street name, town or village and postcode. To Update your postal address, you must first change your Identity Card details with the Maltese government agency Identità. Enterting the postcode is required, as part of the address updating process.
You can add or update your landline phone number, mobile phone number or both, in the contact number details stored by the Department of Social Security. Foreign registered numbers are not permitted. Additionally, you can add or modify your email address held by the Department of Social Security.
However, you cannot use this service to change from a Maltese address to a foreign address, or vice versa. Additionally, you cannot change from an already set foreign address with the Department of Social Security to a different country’s address. To request such changes, please click here. Note that these changes will not be immediate, as they require vetting first.
The SMS payment notification option is only available for beneficiaries receiving payments by bank deposits.
