Overview
A Foster Care Allowance is awarded to authorised fosterer carers providing a foster care service to a child.
Moreover, this allowance is paid until a child reaches 21 years of age.

Eligibility
General eligibility criteria:
- Residential homes providing residential service to children, receive Child in care Benefit – Foster Care Allowance only when approved by the Ministry for Social Policy and Children’s Rights

How to apply
Fill in and submit the application online.
The application must be submitted within 6 months from initialization of fostering as stipulated by the Social Security Act (Cap. 318.). The allowance, or part of it, may be forfeited if the application is submitted late.
