Benefits Compliance Investigation Request
Overview
If you have reason to believe that a person may be committing a Social Security Benefit Fraud, you can report this breach to the Benefits Compliance Unit within the Income Support and Compliance Division. You may opt to make an anonymous report.
What you need to know
Please give the reason/s why you believe that the benefit being received by the person to be investigated is not in compliance with the Social Security Act (Cap. 318.) and since when. Please include all the necessary information that can assist the Benefits Compliance Unit to initiate and conclude investigations within a reasonable timeframe.
Kindly provide as much information as possible about the person you are making a request for investigation which include the (not limited):
- Name and Surname of the person to be investigated.
- Address of the person to be investigated.
- Type of benefit fraud the person to be investigated is committing.
What is the process when a benefits compliance investigation request is received?
The Benefits Compliance Unit within the Income Support and Compliance Division will investigate all Benefits Compliance Investigation Requests, although information about the outcome of a particular investigation cannot be provided. An acknowledgement letter will be sent if the request for an investigation is not made anonymous.
