Clear Writing in the Public Service – The Social Dimension

The Ministry for Social Policy and Children’s Rights, in collaboration with the Representation of the European Commission in Malta, organized a conference aimed at the importance of improving and simplifying communication with the general public, with the aim of be better understood by the citizen.

With the participation of various experts in the field, this event focused on the concept of simple writing in documents / letters with the aim of enabling the reader to understand the message more clearly. Key topics included: clear writing for children and the creation of documents aimed at children, clear writing in legal documents, the plain language approach, clear writing in the European Commission, as well as clear writing in The Conference, the first of its kind in Malta, served as an opportunity for participants to share knowledge about the benefits of clear and understandable communication, both for the public service and for public receiving the communication.
