Q

Application – Monitoring

Overview

The primary objective of this service is to give visibility to both beneficiaries and applicants about the status of their applications or benefits over the past twelve (12) months. This includes details on current and active benefits, as well as pending benefits that are under review and awaiting approval by the Department of Social Security.

What you’ll get

A list of any application or request for revision made over the past twelve (12) months. From this list, you can check whether your claim has been processed and see its outcome.

Exclusions:

  • Retirement Pension: Tentative Assessment.
  • Sickness Benefit: Blue Medical Certificate Claims, as this is provided through another online service.

The Department of Social Security has also embarked on visibility of status of the applications that can be monitored through the Citizen Portal, if your request was submitted through your own e-ID authentication. These include:

  • Appeal against the Department of Social Security.
  • Report a death of a Social Security beneficiary.

Eligibility

General eligibility criteria:

  • An active e-ID account issued by the Maltese government agency Identità.
