Benefit Certification – Foreign Beneficiaries

Overview

If you are a Social Security beneficiary in receipt of a Retirement Pension, Invalidity Pension, or Widow/er’s Pension from the Department of Social Security of Malta and currently residing and being paid abroad, you can generate your Benefit Rate Certificate online.

What you’ll get

The Benefit Rate Certificate will provide you with information on your pension type and payment amount. Additionally, the certificate will include a unique document reference number to confirm its authenticity.

Eligibility

General eligibility criteria:

• To be eligible for this service, you must be a Social Security beneficiary in receipt of a Retirement Pension, Invalidity Pension, or Widow/er’s Pension from the Department of Social Security of Malta and currently residing and being paid abroad. Your information must match the records in the Social Security Benefits System for the certificate to be generated.

Documentation Required

No documentation is required to generate your Benefit Rate Certificate through the online service. However, you will need to provide your pension number, date of birth and pension type. You can choose to save the certificate on your device, receive your certificate via email or print / download a copy.
